Which order form do you need?
- Before you buy
- A material request lists what a job needs for approval. A purchase order records the items you order from a supplier.
- When goods arrive
- A delivery receipt records received quantities and shortages. An inventory count sheet compares the stock you expect with the stock you count.
- When you assign work
- A work order describes the job, location, materials, and authorization. A quote sets out the price.
